OFFICIAL DYNGUS DAY BUFFALO FEST HALLS

Fest Halls are where the core of Dyngus Day Buffalo activities and festivities can be found. These high-energy locations have a capacity from 250 to 3,000 people! All Fest Halls must meet certain criteria such as offering award winning polka bands, Polish dancers, pussy willows, mouth watering Polish cuisine, serve Polish beer & vodka and allow the squirting of water! Tickets for many Fest Halls are sold in advance... Early planning is important! Each Fest Fall is uniquely different, catering to the young and the "young at heart".

 

Dyngus Day Buffalo 2009 will consist of official Fest Halls located in the Historic Polonia District and throughout the Buffalo-Niagara region. Although unique in their own ways, all Dyngus Day Fest Halls have one thing in common; they have what it takes to make Dyngus Day Buffalo one of the most unique ethnic events in North America. Whether traditional or unique, all offer great music, dancing, entertainment and Dyngus traditions. All Fest Halls are accredited by Dyngus Day Buffalo to ensure that the environment is friendly and fun, and the food and entertainment is the best in America.

 

Acceptance of the Fest Hall accreditation process shares the vision to make Dyngus Day in Buffalo one of the largest ethnic festivals in North America. It is a partnership that provides the best possible environment for patrons. A pleasurable experience year after year that will allow for continued growth.  


FEST HALL REQUIREMENTS: To be accredited as an official Dyngus Day Buffalo Fest Hall location, participants are asked to adhere to the following guidelines:

STANDARDIZED ADMISSION PRICE, WRISTBAND SALE & HONOR POLICY: $10 admission fee for entry into Fest Hall venues. Fest Hall locations will provide customers with a Dyngus Day Buffalo wristband with every paid admission. Those patrons with pre-purchased Dyngus Day Buffalo wristbands will be allowed entry into additional site for $2.
 
REVENUE SUPPORT: Official Fest Hall venues will provide Dyngus Day Buffalo with $2 from every paid admission and wristband distributed. Payment to Dyngus Day Buffalo must be completed by Tuesday, April 21, 2009.
 
POLKA MUSIC: Fest Halls are required to offer a least (1) live polka band and are encouraged to provide recorded polka music between sets and during breaks. A list of available bands is available by contacting Dyngus Day Buffalo at (716) 472-2976.
 
DYGNUS TRADITIONS: Fest Halls are required to sell or giveaway pussy willows and to allow for the sprinkling of water. The amount of water and the method of delivery is up to the discretion of the individual Fest Hall location.
 
ETHNIC DANCE: Fest Halls are asked to offer Polish dance demonstrations during Dyngus Day festivities. Performance should last no longer than: 20 mins and take place during scheduled band set breaks.     
 
POLISH FOOD: Fest Hall locations require the sale of full Polish dinners or small sandwiches. Sausage sandwiches, pierogi or traditional Easter basket offerings are preferred.
 
POLISH BEER & SPIRITS: Fest Halls are required to sell official Dyngus Day Buffalo products including Tyskie Polish Beer and Sobieski Polish Vodka. 

DYNGUS DAY GUIDE
: Fest Halls are required to participate in the official Dyngus Day Buffalo Guide that will be produced and published by Dyngus Day Buffalo. Over 50,000 copies will be distributed throughout Western New York, official Fest Hall venues and at the Broadway Market during the holiday season.  A rate card is available by contacting Dyngus Day Buffalo at (716) 472-2976
