All Things Considered, April 18, 2006 · For more than 40 years, the Monday after Easter has been known as Dyngus Day in Buffalo, N.Y. It's a post-Lent day of dancing, beer, Polish sausages and an odd courting ritual that brings revelers in search of true love.

Buffalo's most authentic Dyngus Day located in one of Polonia's most historic institutions. Walking distance from the Dyngus Day celebration at St. Stanislaus Church. Featured Dyngus Day's largest selection of Polish Beer and Spirits. Rare opportunity to visit this "private club" is normally not open to the general public. "Mickey's Hall" was also where you could find the "wettest" Dyngus Day experience as the Club is one of the last Dyngus Day establishments that still welcome's squirt guns.

First live polka music of the day held at Fairgrounds Gaming and Raceway'. Free polka music by two of Buffalo's most popular polka bands City Side and Jerry Darlak and the Touch. Over 600 people attended.

Buffalo's orginial Dyngus Day celebration for over 45 years! Featured blessing of Dyngus Day buffet, a performance by the Chopins Choir and traditional Polish dance demonstrations by the White Eagle Dancers from Ontario. Continuous polka music started at 3pm with Ted Szymanski & "City Side", and Eddie Biegaj & "Crusade."

32nd annual Dyngus Day celebration. Longtime venue for polka music in Western New York. Polka music featured the "Knewz", John Rogala & the "JR-5" and the Bedrock Boys.
ST. STANISLAUS B & M PARISH - BUFFALO POLONIA
The historic "mother church" of Buffalo's Polish Community. Located in the heart of Buffalo's Polonia, walking distance from the Dyngus Day celebration at Adam Mickiewicz Library. The self proclaimed "Best Dyngus Day in Buffalo" celebration featured polka music by The New Yorkers and Stephanie & her Honky Polka Band. Great family atmoshpere inside the Msgr. Adamski Social Center.
